The cause of back pain was stiffness. After 10 years of suffering chronic lower back pain, the solution came from Blood Circulation Therapy.

The pain started when I was 20 years old and I was preparing to retake the university entrance exam.

As I sat at a desk all day, I started jogging because of lack of exercise, which made the pain worse.

I started having numbness in the back of my left thigh as well as back pain. My waist hurt and I couldn't stretch.

When I was examined at a hospital, I was diagnosed with "lumbar disc herniation" and the doctor told me that only surgery could help. However I did pass the university entrance exam. Shortly thereafter, I underwent surgery for my herniated disc and was hospitalized for 40 days. Even after discharge, I went to the hospital with a corset and received massages for some time. The pain and numbness in the back of my thigh disappeared, but the back pain did not. The doctor said that surgery was not possible if the herniated disc recurred. I went to Tokyo and later entered university with the anxiety of recurrence of my back pain. It was painful even to stand on the train when commuting to and from school. Whenever I went to a bookstore, my back would suddenly hurt and all I could do was sit down.

In the summer, my back pain eased. The fisheries department had cutter training on the seaside and my passion for the ocean was aroused so I decided to join rowing crew.  I endured the spring training camp and  participated in the rookie race. After summer and autumn training, I entered the All Japan University Championships.

However, in the winter, my pain back returned, and I left the cutter club without revealing to my teammates my lower back pain.

After graduating, I entered graduate school and completed half a year of seamen’s training. I passed the national exam as a navigator and was hired as a maritime officer of the Government Fisheries Agency. However, my lower back really started to hurt while I was helping out with fishing operations. I was also worried about the recurrence of my herniated disc and In addition, my neck hurt and I had terrible headaches.

When I returned to the port of Tokyo, I went to the hospital and took the prescribed medicine, but it didn't help.

Finally, I decided to study blood circulation therapy.

I quit the Fisheries Agency and moved to Sendai where my BCT teacher lived. I tried to find out the cause of my backache with my finger according to the teacher's methods. I noticed that there was a stiffness on my waist when I pressed it. Perhaps this is the cause of my back pain. I wondered if the lower back pain could be reduced if I tried the “Jiwa Papp” technique, which improves blood circulation. So every day I did "Jiwa Papp" and it became lighter. Finally, my back pain was gone. Yay!  This is it! I did it.

I was relieved to know that the cause of my back pain was just stiffness. No more worries about the recurrence of a herniated disc. I felt comfortable because I could cure myself even if I had pain. Then I did some exercises that put quite a strain on my waist, but I was fine. I could do all the jogging, biking, swimming, kendo and climbing that I couldn't do before.

On days off mountain climbing  became my hobby.

Finally I was able to climb the 4,095 meter high Kinabalu mountain in Malaysia.
