Differences from massage (part 3)

Applicable to inflammatory and febrile diseases such as sprains and rheumatism

Since it is a gentle procedure, it can be done immediately even in the acute inflammatory phases of bruises, sprains, and rheumatoid arthritis, and it has immediate effects. Even if you have a slight fever of 38 degrees, the whole body can be treated with soft manipulation, so it has an antipyretic effect. In one case a female high school student who had been repeatedly hospitalized for unexplained fever, recovered after receiving a full body treatment.

Massage is contraindicated(not recommended) in inflammatory diseases and acute phases of injury. Massage indications are all about (is recommened for)functional recovery combined with rehabilitation of chronic musculoskeletal disorders.

If treated early, rheumatoid arthritis can be cured completely.

Method of treatment

Treat the affected areas (mainly the joints of the hands, feet, knees, etc.) and perform systemic treatment including the abdominal area. It can be completely cured if treated early after onset.

During the inflammatory phase, the pain in the affected area is severe, so it should be treated with extreme caution to prevent overstimulation. Pain can be removed immediately if treated well. Be aware that overstimulation can exacerbate the inflammation. Severely ill patients are treated every day, and if they improve, the intervals  between treatments  will be increased. Those who have become chronic will need to continue treatment with patience. Although it is difficult to completely cure chronically deformed and contracted joints, it is possible to stop progress of the disease, relieve pain, and improve symptoms. The longer you take steroids, anti-rheumatic drugs, and anti-inflammatory drugs, the longer it takes to heal.

Case 1

60 year old housewife

She went to the hospital with pain in the soles of her feet and she was diagnosed with rheumatism after a blood test. Pain also appeared in her fingers, wrists, shoulders, and knee joints. She took the prescribed medication but her pain did not go away. Moreover, her stomach became sick, and her liver function deteriorated, so she had to change medications and start taking steroids. But after I focused on the symptomatic areas, the pain was reduced. She could only come to my clinic a few times a month, as her house was remote and she was working. However, it was only 4 months after the onset, so her symptoms improved after 10 treatments (9 months).

She reported to my clinic six months later that she was "Doing well".

Two years later, her daughter came to my clinic and reported that her mother had really improved. This is a case that improved rapidly because of treatment early after onset.

 Case 2

 41 year old housewife

It's been nine years since she contracted rheumatism.

She was barely able to walk on her own using a cane, but was unable to stand up on her own so she couldn't even go to the bathroom alone.

She could not use chopsticks. So with her elder sister’s help, she came from Tokyo to Sendai, where my clinic located was at the time.

She stayed at an inn near my clinic and I treated her there.

She went to the hospital after the onset and continued on medications, but her joint symptoms became worse.

She was taking steroids, antirheumatic drugs, antipyretic analgesics, and stomach drugs three times a day.

I focused on the inflammation of the joints of her upper and lower limbs, the skeletal muscle stiffness, the stiffness in her abdomen, etc., and with careful treatment it took me nearly two hours for one session.

After treatment, her symptoms alleviated.

She was able to sit straight after three treatments, stand up on her own after four treatments, and  walk short distances without a cane after five treatments.

A slight fever and pain developed but her medications were gradually reduced.

After the 29th treatment, her fever went down and the pain eased. After forty-four treatments, her sister went home because she could now take a bath on her own and was even able to wash her own hair.

From the 57th time, the distance of walking on her own had increased, and she could walk around the inn.

Although her mild fever increased, steroids were stopped from the 62nd treatment.

After 100 treatments, she persisted to a level where she was comfortable with her daily life, ended her treatments and returned to Tokyo on her own.

Later, I received a letter of thanks from her saying that she was able to return to her parents' home in Kagoshima, alone.

High school girl bedridden and underweight with repeated hospitalizations and continued unexplained fever. One treatment reduces her fever and she eventually recovers!

case 3

She suddenly became feverish from the third grade of elementary school and the symptoms continued.

She was admitted to hospital and underwent tests, but there were no abnormalities other than a decrease in white blood cells, and the cause of her fever remained unknown.

She was again hospitalized because of fever and discharged after receiving antipyretic medication.

She was absent from her junior high school for 2 out of every 3 school days.

She managed to graduate and was able to enter high school, but from the day of her entrance ceremony she had a fever of 38 degrees and was hospitalized again.

She was discharged from the hospital in May with antipyretics, but in June her fever rose to 39 degrees and she was forced to recuperate at home.

She always felt sluggish and had no appetite, so she only drank tomato juice.

She was thin and her weight fell from 45kg to 35kg.

Her neck and axillary lymph and parotid glands were also swollen.

On palpation of her abdomen there was stiffening of the aorta and painful resistance in the liver.

After lightly treating her whole body, her epigastrium became painful that night and her fever rose to 39°, but the next morning the fever dropped to 36.8°.

She felt better and could even take a bath.

After that, treatments continued, and her stomach became soft, and she returned to  normal body temperature.

She was treated daily up to 6 times, and then treated twice a week, twice a month, and once a month until December while her condition improved.

When I visited her home in April of the following year, her stomach was in good condition, her appetite was strong, and her weight returned to 45kg.

Her complexion was also good, and the fever did not return.

She used to catch colds easily, but now if someone in her family caught a cold, she would not.

Finally, she successfully graduated from high school.
